Art of Shadows
I'm dropping my tales here. Enjoy!
The Joyful Stomping
Rough Draft
One of our team, Torbjorn, was kidnapped by goblins. As we rushed to the rescue, we entered a broken down old facility. Clearly used to manufacture "something", there were conveyor belts, mechanisms and clockwork critters. We entered a large room, to be confronted by a general Grievous style villain. It didn't seem too overly interested in us at first, so we inspected the room. There were various doors around the perimeter, which clearly involved some sort of puzzle to open. Not at all discouraged, the team cast Dispel Magic on the door, followed by Knock. This did the trick, and the door opened. Much to our dismay, we ere faced with a clay golem. The golem started to advance, as did general Grievous who had now taken an interest in things.
Fast forward to the pincer style beating we were taking, Art of Shadows decides to get creative. I still have my movement left, and our meat shield was temporarily out of commission. I decide it would be a good idea to scale the golem and try to distract it while the team regroups. Unfortunately, I rolled a critical failure. The golem grabbed me and slammed me to the ground, leaving me prone and doing a good chunk of damage. On the next turn he stomped me, leaving me dead-ish.
There was a happy ending. The team brought me back with a heal, and the golem's next attack left me with 1 entire HP. I was able to get behind and hit with a sneak attack, turning him into inanimate muck.
